To provide superior service to Harrah’s guests by seeking opportunities to be of service, maintaining highly visible patrols to insure a safe gaming experience, and assuring quality support to other departments so they may serve guests more effectively.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 1.  Assists guests by giving directions and answering questions in a friendly and courteous manner.

 2.  Investigates all accidents on Harrah’s premises.      

 3.  Assists injured guests and applies first aid as necessary until professional help arrives.

 4.  Checks identification of guest to insure that only those 21 years of age and older are    

      allowed in gaming areas.

 5.  Patrols the parking lot and garage by car or van.

 6.  Monitors and observes the casino, parking lot and garage for disturbances, crimes, fire

      hazards and undesirable persons and reports these issues to Security supervision.

 7.  Escorts employees with monies.

 8.  Completes written reports as assigned.

 9.  Controls and directs traffic as needed.

10. Ensures the delivery of great customer service through the demonstration and utilization of the Spotlight 5 skills program.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.  Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.

EDUCATION:           High school graduate or equivalent preferred

EXPERIENCE:          Previous law enforcement background preferred

ABILITIES:   1.         Must have a valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record

                        2.         Literacy and fluency in English

                        3.         Ability to move quickly in response to emergency situations

                        4.         Report writing skills

                        5.         Ability to deal with violent situations by verbally defusing them or

                                    by physically restraining a violent person

                        6.         Ability to rapidly climb 18 flights of stairs to provide assistance

                                    during an emergency

                        7.         Must be able to bend, lift up to 45 lbs. and to carry the weight up to

                                    20 feet

                        8.         Must be able to walk/stand up to 8 hours per day

                        9.         Computer literacy preferred
